Tonga Skills in collaboration with the Ministry of Fisheries completed a 3-day training in Vava’u on fish preservation using the smoking method. The training not only helps in improving food security in Vava’u but will also enable families to process and sell the surplus fish thus increasing their income. Participants included growers and market vendors as well as men and women from the outer islands and rural communities of Vava’u.
